What you will make
A life timeline video shows you in the center as a glowing trail. Family, children, and friends appear as their own lines. When someone passes, their light becomes a star. The ending card lists everyone’s birth and pass years.
Step 1 — Open the studio
Go to My Life Timeline Studio in Chrome or Edge. The page opens straight into the tool — no account, no install.
Step 2 — Add yourself
- Type your name
- Set Born (year) and Pass year (or set by age)
- Edit the estimate anytime — it is for storytelling, not prediction
Step 3 — Add people
Use the chips for Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Child, Friend, or Other. For family, you can enter their age when you were born. For children and friends, set the year they enter your life.
Step 4 — Shape chapters (optional)
Turn Chapter on so someone can leave for a while and return later. Friends often walk with you for one season. Children may leave home and come back. After you pass, child lines hide from the sky but still appear on the final years card.
Step 5 — Play and download
- Press Play to preview the full story
- Add ending words if you want a closing line
- Press Download video and stay on the page until the file saves
Prefer mp4 when your browser supports it; otherwise you may get webm (easy to convert for phones).
Tips for a clearer sky
- Keep the cast small — about 10 people keeps trails readable
- Use “Only until now†if you do not want future estimates in the video
- Drag the scrubber to check birth year, a passing year, and the ending card
